Buckrose Concert Band was first created in 2006 by the late Malcolm Heywood. Since that time, it has been under the guidance of Musical Director, Becca Heywood-Smith, Malcolm’s daughter who has developed and nurtured the band into the strong musical family that it is now. The band is known as a Community Band and welcomes players of all ages and abilities who would like to play or learn to play a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument.
